Born in British India on the 9th of July 1942 in Sialkot parents Amarnath and Prem Lata Chabbra , she was the only daughter with  elder brother Pramod and younger sibling Rajiv. Early schooling was in Barielly before moving to Morabadad for schooling.

Mala got married to engineer Narsingh Das Tandon, Moradabad based Tandon family then moving to England, where she made London her home. 

Her Life was an ongoing journey constantly on the move between India-UK-India on a revolving basis. 

Celebrating her 75th Birth Anniversary this year on 9th July 2017 with the Pre-release Launch of her Cook Book titled - "The Queen of Indian Cooking"

We celebrate her love for life, family and food through her Cook Book. At Mala's home every meal was a feast and everyone was welcome.
